The new Philips HMP2000 allows any TV to become a Smart TV with easy access to the latest online streaming services and is estimated to retail for around £50. It includes the new Netflix service, which offers unlimited access to a broad catalogue of movies and TV programmes, all streamed to your home in an instant.

With a dedicated Netflix button on the remote, the HMP2000 opens a world of possibilities - from Hollywood blockbusters to the best series from leading broadcasters such as the BBC and Channel 4.

Alternatively, if you prefer your videos more ‘free-form’ the HMP2000 has a dedicated button to access  YouTube services.

The HMP2000 also makes it possible to enjoy photos and home movies with playback either over the network via Wi-Fi or direct via the built-in USB port. So those summer holiday snaps or films of the family playing in the back garden can be showed for all to enjoy on the big screen in the living room.

While the HMP2000 may be tiny at just 90x50x100mm, the pictures it produces are large and high quality thanks to the 1080p HDMI output. And with built in Wi-Fi, connection is simple, meaning it doesn’t matter where your phone line is you can still enjoy the benefits of streaming on the main TV in the living room.

The Philips HMP2000 will be available with an estimated selling price of £49.99
